Hello again, since you asked the question so politely, I feel I must answer. I don't live in a gay community. I live in a small rural market town and have very few gay friends, I socialise with my family and the people with whom I work. My colleagues are a mixture of caucasian, Pakistani/Indian and African/Carribbean. The gay friends I do have are a mixture of Polish, Somali, Kurdish/Iraqi, British, Irish and a couple of Americans for flava!

Ciprian,

We all struggle to find our niche under the sun ~ straight, gay, undefined, individual. Gay Pride is one colorful drive to create awareness that Gays exist and are making a mark in this blind world who doesn't recognize individuality and unkind to diversity.

Straight, gay, undefined, individual deserve respect ~ we all have a niche under the blue skies.

I wish you well.

Our eyes are trained what looks good and what doesn't depending in what kind of environment we grew up, the people who trained us, and our influences. There are things that surprise us and there those that don't because we see it often becoming a natural thing to our vision. The guy in the picture could be a surprise to some(me included), but could also be a common look to others.
We are the clothes we wear. If we follow the statement: "wear what's in your mind," then it validates the former statement that what we chose to wear is who we are. And I think there would be no more issues in how people would judge us with the way we look. That's your fashion statement anyway, you're just expressing your mind through your manner of dressing. I think the issue should go down to how people respect differences, individuality, diversity.

I wish you well.

Ciprian,

I used to do this as a kid. Now that I'm grown up, I know better yes, but more jaded. I don't ask the petals of the flower anymore. But how do I express my affection to someone I love? I write poetry. You can check out some of the love poems I wrote posted in my blog - they are directed to no one in particular though for now. My favorite poem I've written is a sonnet: "A Walk Around The Oval" I thought that poem I would read to someone I will love for the rest of my life.

This post makes me nostalgic. How time flies, games we play as kids still amuse me whenever I remember. Thanks for the reminder.

I wish you well.

You have a very good purpose. Your intentions are act of kindness that is rare this days. This blog could be a good venue for that and would be glad to be part of this. I hope you could help a lot of people. Contenue reaching out, I'm just here.

I wish you well.

Ideally, yes. But that doesn't always happen in the real world. I have a good family upbringing growing up in a close-knit family, but still, there are things I'd keep to myself and would rather reveal to friends. I don't want to disappoint my parents. So they only know most of my accomplishments. My failures, I handle it myself. But this is only about me, I can only speak for myself.

It's true that we go through sibling rivalry as kids for the attention of our parents.(in most of cases).
I also think that in the first place we should consider our family when we have a problem that would concern it.( exception when we are kids because then we can't make all the time difference between right and wrong ) That is how things should work in a strong family because the family is the base of society .
